Does the evaluation version expire?
No. The evaluation version does not expire. However, all of the consumer or commercial features are not available.
I want to use DIGIPICS for my business. Do I need to purchase the Commercial version?
Yes. The DIGIPICS license specifies that you must upgrade to the commercial version. Upgrade if you will be using DIGIPICS for any profit.
What do I get by upgrading to the Consumer version?
For starters, you get the latest DIGIPICS release with new features, bug fixes and more. Plus you get FREE priority technical support. The consumer version will work with all new cameras - the evaluation version limits you to older Mavicas. Upgrading will get you new features such as photograph manipulation within DIGIPICS (rotation, sharpening, adding text, etc.), new print options, new Internet sharing webpage creation tools.

This applies to the Evaluation version ONLY. The evaluation version only supports older Mavicas in the 70 series. Upgrade to the Consumer version and this problem will be resolved.
